In the extremely unlikely event that my 18 yo daughter ended up in the military (she spent most of her time with her oh so lib-uh-rhul mother, and is now going to UC Santa Cruz), she would insist on being treated 'just like the boys'.
Well...that is your own prob. Many of us have women who serve.
