I do see your points; you both see the DBM as only part of the problem, and I agree there is a lot more to our loss (more failure to prevail) then them alone.
But do note that this thread has been, over all these years, devoted to covering them--the DBM. We need a war of many fronts, selecting better generals to lead our troops, and choosing our battles carefully and where we're most likely to win.
One of these battles is against the entrenched "liberalism/pro one political party/movement over another/dislike of the other party" that is today's media. It is to this I'm going to focus my efforts, pitifully small though they may be.

Your efforts are anything but "pitifully small", and concentrating on righting the wrongs of the DBM is the place to be IMHO.

As an interesting side note... A MAJOR cause for our loss, and one that I hate because it was an obvious setup... was foleygate. No one seems to remember that we were polling ahead of dims in every segment except that of marxism... before that story broke.
That scandal brought back abramoff, who brought back the "culture of corruption"... tied into Delay due to Sekula-Gibbs write in candidacy... Republican Leadership brought into the center of a non-sexual Sex Scandal... dbm harping it non-stop... add that to immigration and spending... and you have the result that is the 2006 mid term election!
