I agree with what you said .. except the part about keeping them in check

The question is .. will our side handle it better or will they continue to blame Bush and the Republicans like in pass years
The is a PR Election .. and the people listen to what they hear others tell them
It remains to be seen, but the MSM will be supporting them every step of the way. Waxman will be portrayed as a crusading congressman rooting out corruption and waste. The message will be the Dems are now in charge and all is well again.
The next two years will be a continuous campaign by the Dems until 2008. It took them 12 years to regain the House. It won't be easy to get it back any time soon. They know how to use the power of incumbency.
