After many years on talk radio I suspect differently.<p.

It's usually a mistake to go after a popular celeb with an incurable disease--even if he is wrong--only days before a major election.I could be wrong, but even McCaskill credits Rush with her victory.(not that she has any credibility)

Bottom line I would rather Rush had talked about falling gas prices lower unemployment, all the good things that were ignored by the msm-- all the lies and spins of the DBM on major issues especially in Iraq for the last few days instead of burning so much time on stem cell.
Just my opinion.

Me too, RG.

I saw Rush over the Internet shaking as if a Parkinson's victim and I understand he was trying to illustrate how Fox was shaking on the campaign commercial versus how he appears on Boston Legal.

Still it was a sight byte to behold although I'll go on record and state that I understood completely the point Rush was trying to make.

And yet I also understand the point Hastert was trying to make when he stood out there with all those Dems defending William Jefferson-D-Louisiana. Hastert "supposedly" was defending separation of powers in that it's an ominous thing to have the executive branch, via the justice department, go rifling through elected officials' desks, perhaps planting stuff, who knows? This is the sort of thing that creates dictators and underneath the awful sight bite of the Republican Speaker of the House standing in lockstop to defend, as it was perceived let's get real here, William Jefferson-D-Louisiana, who actually commandeered an NG helicoptor to help him retrieve his stolen cash-I kind of understand where he was going.

Hastert COULD have written an editorial in the Wall Street Journal or used other means to state his concerns. Instead he gives us a sight bite that made my blood run cold.

Damn, it MATTERS how you are perceived.

Rush said the other day that conservatives are not "packagers". Yeah, I'll agree with that.

They're ham-handed and so convinced they are right that they falsely believe the truth is the end all.

Not so. Perception is everything.

They had power and they gave no thought to what the world sees and hears, especially their own base.

They need to hire some "packagers". Recruit some from the Democratic party; they're experts at it.
