If the result of leaving is more dead Arabs, how can that be bad?

I don't understand this overreaction to the dems new "power" by the media. Sure they will control the committees and wreak all sorts of havoc that we can appreciate. Not making light of it. But George Bush is still President and the dems have very slight majorities. Look at the limited things the Republicans got through and they controlled all 3 branches with a greater majority in the Congress. The dems can only do so much with those slim majorities if our side decides to fight.

Doh! Of course! The Democrat was lying!

I dont if it was to the voters or Talibani ... likely both,
but time will tell.

Not only the loons will be angry but those "conservatives" democrats, specially those new ones, who delivered Congress to the democrat party. If they vote with the liberal leadership and the liberal majority of their party they will certainly kiss goodbye their elections chances in two years.

When did Congress become the Commander In Chief of the US Armed Forces so that they can decide when troops do anything?

---
We have two choices.

1) We can split the Arabs into two sides - ours and theirs. Then we can get our Arabs to kill their Arabs. Since Arabs are killing Arabs it cuts down on American casualties. This policy works when our Arabs are killing their Arabs faster than vice versa. When their Arabs manage to kill all our Arabs it's bad for our recruiting efforts.

2) We can get all the Arabs on one side. Then we can maximize American casualties by trying to kill them all ourselves. This is officially known as "The Stupid Choice."

Well, they better go ahead and stick Hussein's head through a noose while they still can, because if the Sunni mobs break him out of stir after we leave, his life's not worth a plugged dinar...
