Who gives a crap about Mehlman? The White House campaign operation made the Three Stooges look savvy. And Mehlman was as incompetant as any. I and others have called for Rumsfeld (and his armchair "Generals" who couldn't wipe MacArthur's ass) to be canned for months on this forum and been attacked for it. Now the GOP is
"furious" that he was fired the day after the election. We could have easily held the Congress had this boob been dumped 4 months ago. Bush could have hyped a "new direction in Iraq" (substance or no) and the RATs would have been robbed of their only issue. But these arrogant schmucks couldn't make the sacrifice needed to save the majority. The Pentagon pussies aren't worthy of the brave men and women who they alternately command like retards, and prosecute on trumped up charges. They should all be canned. The entire Joint Chief Jokers. Everyone. And get rid of the Schoolmarm and Hamas spokesperson Condi Rice while you're at it. Am I going overboard here? Maybe. But I and many others have been saying this crap for nearly two years now, and only now do we hear Rush and all the BushBots say "wow, I guess they were right". Too late, dammit.

Hey, maybe you could create your own site where you could talk about what you want. Then, you can talk to yourself for an eternity, eternity.

When I heard the other joker that was head of the RNC before Mehlman say words to the effect that fiscal restraint was off the table and spending was in, I knew we were in trouble as a party.

No, I don't have a problem with it, and this may come as a shock to you, but I don't even *care* if you're gay. My guess is that you spend way more time worrying about what I (others) think of you being gay than I (others) spend thinking about it at all.

I like Newt, but I disagree with you that this election was based entirely or even mostly on illegals. Yes, it was a big issue, but not the only issue and not the biggest issue.

Everyone's being pretty harsh-- isn't the RNC Chair solely in charge of fundraising? And we were well funded, right? That was done well.
(I've not researched this and should not really comment, but just can't help myself).
I wish him well.

We think it will be ready for distribution sometime in January. The short version is going to be called HILLARY CLINTON: The Fraudulent Senator?

Mehlman was OK; seemed like a nice guy to me.
The republicans were not able to overcome the noise and have their message be the defining message.

Exactly. Communication is a major part of leadership, and the GOP was deficient, both in the WH and in Congress.
The Invisible Hastert was a prime example. Before the Foley case, he was a virtual unknown; he allowed the Enemedia to define him as a sinister predator-enabler and a pork-barrel baron.

HOW to overcome the liberal media monopoly is a problem.
If they refuse to let one message be heard, and the pound their themes 24/7/365, then their themes become dominant.

Poor guy had to carry a politically incompetent administration's water. He's wanted out for months.

There are many possibilities, no quick fixes.
One small step would be to LABEL the enemies accurately.
Instead of just referring to the 'NY Times', we should say 'The Liberal NY Times', or 'left-slanting NY Times'. The WaPo could be the 'Democrat-partisan Post', or, given their disgraceful recent behavior, the 'Macaca Post'. CNN is the Muslim-friendly 'Crescent News Network'.
The Enemedia successfully turned the term 'Neo-Conservative' into a bad word, just by repeating it over and over in a negative context. We must fight back in kind, by referring to the left wing of the Democratic Party as 'Pelosistas', 'Pelosicrats' or 'Neo-Socialists'.
The Enemedia have had a huge head start; now it's time to catch up. Otherwise, they will roll right over us in 2008.

LOL!! That didn't take long.... Maher announces he is gay and "poof" he's is gone..... Maher's words had nothing to do with Ken leaving.
By the way, it is bad form to be a fool (consistently).

Okay, I keep seeing references to "outing" and "closet".
Help me out here...Ken Mehlman is gay? Let me state it out loud. Can I be the only one out here in la-la land who didn't know this?
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Allen is too much of a rising star to write-off. Speaking mostly at this point with my own opinion here, I lost any burgeoning respect I might ever have had for Allen.
No freaking way is this guy presidential material. That "Macaca" comment ruined him. Sure it's a small thing but it was on such a public forum the whole incident made him look a bit childish.
Allen convinced me he's no intellectual genius.
