"I bet those idiots at DU are pissed. LOL"

I have an idiot cousin that posts over there. He says though that secretly almost everyone he talks to on that forum feel betrayed. No impeachment and all the "moderate" dims elected. They know that this was a phyrric victory.

My hope is that it is truly beginning of the end of the kook Left's hold on the Rat Party.

It may be more dangerous if the DUmmies feel betrayed and that there's no chance of the 'Rats following through on impeachment...that serves in a way as a safety valve. Some of them could decide the only alternative left is a resort to violence. That character who tried to assault people at an Allen campaign event a few days before the election may not be the most extreme among the lot of them.

"They know that this was a phyrric victory." That had me going for a minute. One of those words you have a good idea of what it means, but you need to double-check the meaning of to be sure. The mis-spelling just about made me lose my mind (time for bed I guess)...

pyrrhic

adj 1: of or relating to a war dance of ancient Greece; "pyrrhic dance movements" 2: of or relating to or containing a metrical foot of two unstressed syllables; "pyrrhic verses" 3: of or relating to or resembling Pyrrhus or his exploits (especially his sustaining staggering losses in order to defeat the Romans); "a Pyrrhic victory" n 1: a metrical unit with unstressed-unstressed syllables [syn: dibrach] 2: an ancient Greek dance imitating the motions of warfare
