NEW YORK (CNN) -- Hallelujah, brothers and sisters. I'm not even sure what "hallelujah" means, but the word just feels right after witnessing what is at the very least an awakening of the power of the people. I'm hopeful that November 7 was also a declaration that middle-class Americans won't be taken for granted by either political party.

What did the dollars you spent for that "cheap clothing" buy? Could it be that they have bought something that is going to prove more expensive to America in the long run, than the money that would have been spent on domestic clothing?

Sorry I don't want to pay for expensive clothing.. I like to get the biggest bang for my buck...
If the American clothing costs more I won't buy it.. I'm not going to pay extra for to keep people employeed..
American made shirt is $ 7.99 and Chinese shirt $ 4.99 plus additional taxes needed to take care of the unemployed textile workers, and additional taxes to upgrade our Defense to face improved Chinese weapons, and so on and so on. Where is your savings?
So what we spend money on the military that is a normal function on this government, not protect jobs.. If I spend 4.99 on the shirt, I would have save more money and allowed me to spend the money elsewhere...
I remember someone on FR calling lou a "republican". Of all the names I can think of for lou, that's not one of them.
Hey, Lou - How are them "Broken Borders" doing? If you think they are broken now, wait until Bush and the Democrat controlled congress have their way!
So you get a cheap shirt, and textile factories close in the South and these rural GOP districts get mad at the GOP unbridle free trade policies and then you wake up and wonder how you lost control of the House and Senate by narrow margins. Now the Dems are in charge, will your savings on your cheap shirt more than make up for the tax increases coming?????
The middle class will get a raise in the minimum wage and review of CAFTA and any impending trade agreements (i.e Vietnam) from the Dems. With that secured they will vote GOP if they will curtail illegal immigration, enforce hiring rules, and review the H-1B worker process that is being abused by employers, unless the Dems wise up and usurp the issue. The middle class are going to be savy political shoppers. They are tire of being part of a winning coalition that craps on them after they get into power. The first GOP/Dem candidate that grasps this will be the winner in 2008. For the blue collar they know there are major differences between the Dem and GOP. Example the Dems support sodomy. The rural blue collar guy is against this but he also knows the gay guys are far away in San Francisco goosing some rich GOP Congressional staffer, but the factory closing from the GOP free trade policies is in his hometown. If some of the freepers cannot understand this, they do not have a grasp of politics.
"Hallelujah" means "praise the Lord", and I'm not sure Dobbs is smart resorting to blasphemy. It's doubtful the Lord wants baby-killing sodomites running the show in this country He originally blessed.
How do you suggest the Government save jobs comrade... Tell me where in the Constitution that states the Government must protect jobs...I can't seem to find it anywhere...
