I happen to live in Mississippi and you are right, at least Rangel isn't here.
However, there were many republicans on this web site that said the very same thing after Hurricane Katrina, I disagree with both. It's a great place to live.

Mississippi FReepers should call Trent Lott's office ASAP.

This is Lott's great opportunity to call a press conference, and chastise Rangel for his idiotic remark. He should then ask the Enemedia why they won't ask Rangel to apologize as many times as Lott did in Dec. 2002, after his Strom Thurmond comment was blown out of proportion exponentially.

If Lott can do that, he's a shoo-in for GOP Whip, and may have another shot at Minority Leader.
