Actually, from what I understand, it was the "base" who were the only ones who actually turned out and voted Republican.
I'd be interested to see who actually voted for Chaffee in Rhode Island. I suspect, but don't know, that a big chunk of his votes came from Lafferty (sp?) supporters holding their noses.
Don't blame the "base" for the loss. Those are the folks who will vote for a turd if it has the "R" label.

Yes. I'll be interested to see who voted and who didn't. It will be a very good indicator of where we stand as a country. And with regard to the two dozen or so Freepers...I hope you're right.
