"With the serious international security challenges faced by Americans, the last thing we need is more bitter partisanship. Nancy Pelosi is set to make history as our first female Speaker. But what history will record of her speakership, should she choose to vault Mr. Hastings over Ms. Harman, is that her legacy had precious little to do with providing for the common defense of the Republic, and too much to do with shameless pandering."

Wrong/but right. No need to be bitter; either let it all fall down, or start filing the cases against the Dems. Either way, serve it cold.

Since we haven't heard this in the MSM... can't be true/sarcasm here. How do we get this broadcasted and force the MSM to report this?

So, committee chairs are selected based on color of skin? I hope she selects Hastings. If there is a Pub left with any stones, they can make an issue out of it. Time the shoe was on the other foot for a change.

Merely being a member of the congress doesn't guarantee the security clearances they may need and it won't be because of the President if they don't get them, the CIA is "nonpartisan" (LOL).

Obviously, since the Democrats are looking to impeach Bush, they should put Hastings in as chair of the judiciary committee...have someone there with some relevant personal experience.

Not only Bush, but Cheney as well. So, in 2007, you better get used to saying, "President Pelosi."

How bad is Hastings? Even the New York Times can't stomach him, today's editorial page calls on the Pelosi and the Democrats not to raise Hastings to the Chairmanship.

What, and prove once and for all that Nancy's promise to end "The Culture of Corruption" has been the biggest lie of this young century?

As long as we're fantasizing here...Let's get rid of partisianship altogether. Imagine what it would be like if Bush and Cheney, fed up with the persecution, resigned and Pelosi pre-empted Clinton as the first female president. The look on Hilary's face when she heard the news would be priceless. It would, of course be a disastor for the country, but we'd go down laughing.

The Iraqis better hang Saddam fast, before President Pelosi intervenes to put him back in power.

In our history we've had two Presidential impeachments that went to trial in the Senate, one impeachment attempt that ended with Nixon's resignation, and two vice presidents resigning (one under pressure, one to take a seat in the Senate [John C. Calhoun], when his term as VP was nearly over anyway). The idea that the 'Rats would be able to remove both the President and the Vice President on charges that are only taken seriously by the moonbat base of their party is far-fetched.

And even if they got Cheney and were going after Bush, Bush would be able to name a replacement for Cheney. I don't think the country would stand for Congress refusing to confirm the replacement.

The Rats want open hearings on intelligence failures in Iraq but how are they going to do that without clearances? They also want to impeach the President based on intelligence and failures in intelligence but our laws only allow impeachment hearings open to the public so how in the world would they be able to protect classified intelligence while serving up their goal? They can claim he lied all day long but unless they can show where he "lied" they have nothing. President Clinton was impeached not for having extramarital sex but for lying about it under oath and not about intelligence.

If I were W and decided I'd had enough I'd quote Davy Crockitt's line after he was defeated for reelection "You can go to Hell, I'm going to Texas."

I have tried to get friends, family, anyone to understand that this election was NOT about liberal and conservative, not about the economy, not about gas prices....it was about life and death....

These democrats will NOT seal the borders, will NOT protect our national intellegience departments and our secrets, will NOT fight the terrorist, but rather will want to have dialog with them.....there are dangerous clouds on the horizon.

Does anyone have ready access to photos and documents about Hastings and his cast of players. I don't have a lot of time but this one really does deserve a YouTube.
