Just look at this thread, you'll see who they're trying to pin it on. No introspection; it's all the fault of conservatives who became fed up with the stuff the GOP has been shoveling lately.

It's radio; entertainment.

Rush had his heyday when Clinton was in office.

Sir,

I hope you are right about your guess -- but look at post 93.

I listened to Pres Bush's 1:00 news conference, and he was obviously happy about his amnesty agenda 'now' being passed, (since the GOP lost in the House)

regards

That clip of Bush hailing a Democrat-controlled House in order to pass his amnesty bill is the last straw for me with the President.

My 'moment' was when GW threw another loyalist under the bus, after that loyalist went to bat for him at the 911 Commission hearings. That loyalist was the one who took Jamie Gorelick to task and proved her a liar about the infamous Wall. Instead of showing appreciation, GW publicly condemned that loyalist for his actions at the 911 Commission hearings. That loyalist 'resigned' shortly after the last major election in 2004.

"If Limbaugh was truly sincere in what he said earlier on today (and I hope he was), then I might actually start listening to him once again, because I lost all my respect for him a while ago. Perhaps this election was a Road to Damascus moment for him."

I completely agree with you. I can't listen to "GOP rocks" for 3 hours a day. Tis why I listen to the Savage.

The interchange between Bush and the reporter about illegal immigration proves what most true conservatives have always known. Pres. Bush is NOT a real conservative. Period.

That clip of Bush hailing a Democrat-controlled House in order to pass his amnesty bill is the last straw for me with the President. I can't take a Republican practically cheering the GOP losing the House in order to pass an amnesty bill.

I am also completely done with this administration. I am completely done with the Republican party in Kalifornia. I disdain Arnold & yes, ignorant, stupid pubbies who put this charlatan in office.

Bush Transcript

Q Thank you, Mr. President. On immigration, many Democrats had more positive things to say about your comprehensive proposal than many Republicans did. Do you think a Democratic Congress gives you a better shot at comprehensive immigration reform?

THE PRESIDENT: You know, I should have brought this up. I do. I think we have a good chance. Thank you. It's an important issue and I hope we can get something done on it. I meant to put that in my list of things that we need to get done.

I would hope Republicans have recognized that we've taken very strong security measures to address one aspect of comprehensive immigration reform. And I was talking to Secretary Chertoff today; he thinks that these measures we're taking are beginning to have measurable effects, and that catch and release has virtually been ended over the past couple of months. And that's positive.

And that's what some members were concerned about prior to advancing a comprehensive bill. In other words, they said, show me progress on the border, and then we'd be interested in talking about other aspects. Well, there's progress being made on the border in terms of security, and I would hope we can get something done. It's a vital issue. It's an issue that -- there's an issue where I believe we can find some common ground with the Democrats.

Q What are the odds for a guest worker provision?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, that's got to be an integral part of a comprehensive plan. When you're talking comprehensive immigration reform, one part of it is a guest worker program, where people can come on a temporary basis to do jobs Americans are not doing. I've always felt like that would be an important aspect of securing the border. In other words, if somebody is not trying to sneak in in the first place, it makes -- decreases the work load on our Border Patrol, and lets the Border Patrol focused on drugs and guns and terrorists. But that's a -- I appreciate you bringing that up. I should have remembered it.

Listen, thank you all very much for your time. I appreciate your interest.

In case you havn't noticed, a broad segment of Americans 'attacked' republicans last night.

Time for a change.

A new wave of repulicans will emerge after the Dems run their ill-fated course.

I may regret this later, but you are right: Savage is all wet on the minimum wage.

Why doesn't President Bush just get it over with and switch party affiliation. Not only is he a liberal and globalist, he's also a closet Democrat.

Hotline: Republicans Will Pressure Allen... Soon
  Posted by RWR8189

Hotline/National Journal ^ | November 8, 2006
Top Republicans in Washington will give Sen. George Allen a few days to take stock of his legal and political options before beginning to pressure him to concede to James Webb. Senior Republican officials and White House aides believe that Webb won the race. Several outside advisers to Allen want him to make the decision quickly; others in his campaign want to make sure that there's no chance a cache of new votes will turn up. One question: when will (will?) the AP call the race? [MARC AMBINDER]

No, your right, the minimum wage is wrong.

It basically leads to an increas in the supply of labour, i.e. an increase in unemployment, particularily for older unskilled workers.

But when you have a flood of illegals putting downward pressure on wages, you alter tha labor market in favor of businesses looking to hire low wage workers.

Take away the illegals and wages would tend to equilibrium.

Whew, some of the old university economics coming back to me.

"Provides money to a moonbat AG candidate in a border state"

Rupert Murdoch provides money and NY Post endorsements for Hillary, down with Fox News? Everyone “conservative” was pulling for Lieberman, down with conservatives?

"Routinely hosts Chuck (Chucky Scmuky) Schumer to help damage the GOP"

Dubai Ports was a joke and that’s when Chuck was on his show. And I hate to break it to you, but sometimes Democrats have legitimate criticisms of Republicans.

"Routinely calls our fellow American's morons and idiots"

More people in this country know the 7 dwarfs versus compared to 2 Supreme Court Justices.

"Thinks the multinational corporations conspire with each other."

You didn’t hear his story about American companies going against Chinese labor unions because the laborers were demanding better pay and working conditions. Maybe you’re the typical conservative who thinks full blown capitalism is good stuff.

"Hate Conservative icons like Rush Limbaugh."

Does he HATE Rush? Don’t think so. He’s not a fan of the GOP-bot hosts that appeal to you. Savage doesn’t like hosts that cheerlead for the GOP for 3 hours a day.

"Attacks other Conservatives as often or more than Liberals"

Please remove the open bottle of glue from underneath your nose.

"Called Repeatedly for Rumsfeld's firing"

He’s been right all along. Anyone who thinks Rumsfeld should stick around after this mess is a moron.

"Claims to be a sort of "Patton" on the War on Terror, but when the Israelis started bombing Lebenon, he turned into Cindy Sheehan"

You probably listened to one segment. He constantly ripped on Olmert for holding back the military.

"Routinely asks callers a question, then ignores their answer and continues on manianical rant."

It should be, “routinely asks callers tough questions and never gets straight answers.”

"Said the war in Iraq is purely for profit, get this, so that Haliburton can make money."

Well the Democrats will most likely investigate some of these contracts, so we’ll find out won’t we.

"Said there's no difference between the GOP and Dems."

He also says he’s not ready to turn the power over to the Democrats. He said that after Kerry’s remarks about the troops. And both party’s do suck.

"Called Rick Santorum "Sanitarium", and an idiot."

I believe he called him an idiot because Santorum thought he could be president.

"Said he deserves most of the credit for the ports deal not going through, and since the GOP didn't give him credit, he won't support them in any way."

He does deserve most of the credit.

"Said it won't be so bad if Dems take over, outside of some minor social changes, nothing else will really change."

To be honest, those same Dems who blasted the war are NOW basically sounding like Republicans. “The president makes the call, change course, let’s work together.” Hear that before?

"Called this a broken nation with corrupt leadership, making fun of Bush, and his rationale for the war on terror, and war in Iraq."

Mark Foley, William Jefferson, Alan Hevesi, Harry Reid, Jack Murtha, Ted Kennedy and many many more, all corrupt.

"Called the GOP "the corrupt, war-mongering GOP"...
They are corrupt, although not as much as the Democrats."

War mongering? Nah, but they did launch the last 3 major military campaigns.

"He had a caller who said he was livid with the GOP, but since the Dems are much worse, he pleaded with Savage's listeners to get out and vote... With each sentence, Savage shouted him down."

Savage isn’t an electioneer like Rush, Sean and Mark Levin.

"He believes that the Clintons and Bush family have developed some sort of consortium and political syndicate together. For the next several years, they will stiff-arm the rest of the political world and alternate family members to the Presidency. Hillary is next, then followed by Jeb."

Bill and Senior have become buddies thanks to Katrina.

I think he's a middle-of-the-roader, who had a nice run, but the Iraq war took way too much steam out of his agenda.

Otherwise things could have been better.

I think his legacy will (is) show that to be true.
