I'm sorry. I checked photos, I don't think it was Mehlman. It was some other national party figure.

What happened is Britt Hume spewed some talking point about this election being about Iraq. The fellow said part of it was that but focused on corruption, mentioning seven Repubs. are charged or accused of corruption. He said it in a matter of fact way without shading it.

The exit polls said "corruption" was the concern held by most that swayed votes. The only good coverage of this I saw was on CBS. Katie Couric (gasp!) was quite good. They had her and others discuss individual scandals and go over Ohio exit polls about corruption, but which showed the voters didn't trust the Democrats any better. Katie made a comment the voters voted "the bums" out, but will vote out the next bums. LOL.
