Not only that, but he can get legislation passed that he might not have been able to do under Republicans. That's something a lot of people are ignoring.

Gridlock in wartime will be deadly. Bush, and the nation, cannot afford it.
I'm sure that GWB will use his veto pen if he has to, but it will be a last resort.
