don't kid yourself. The house was the one that was holding the line on illegal immigration. The Chamber of Commerce types are the ones who sunk the house. They wanted cheap labor and they eliminated those who were standing in their way. Of course, they're not always that bright, because the housing market is starting to lag and there are going to be a lot of unemployed illegals around.
Again, a falling tide lowers all boats. The house just took a bigger hit because the entire body was up for re-election. If the entire senate was up for re-election they would have been hit even harder.
