If a person is disastified with the Republican party and refuses to vote for them any more, would you rather that person stay home, vote third party or vote for the democrat? By your logic, staying home or voting third party is the same as voting for the democrat - it's not.

It's all bad, and it's all whining, and it all costs us races. I didn't see any RATs staying home and not voting for any of their candidates, even though many of them are more moderate than they would have prefered. Nor did I see them wasting votes that would have brought them victory on third-party candidates.

The RNC is wrong on the minimum wage issue. States are passing new laws themselves.

The other two decide not to vote, but would vote for the Republican if they did vote. Are you telling us with a straight face that it makes no difference to the outcome if they stay home or vote for the third party candidate?

Yes, since they had not intention of voting for the Republican anyway. Why do you think that 3rd party voters are stealing votes from the current Republicans? If the third party didn't exist, they wouldn't even vote.

I did, first line in italics ;-)

Fergus 50% in, Burns back to 64-33.

Burns (PUBBIE) 1,565 64%
Tester (RAT) 790 33%
Jones (L) 67 3%

50% of precincts reporting

I think that was the remainder of Lincoln County. Burns took it, but not by nearly the margin he did in 2000.

It looks to me like some Republicans just didn't turn out to vote for Burns this time around.

"States are passing new laws themselves"

What is the purpose of the minimum wage law?

Do you see Nancy and Dirty Harry giving it to him?

YES. The President has been very wise to prevent international isolation on Iran, he is working closely with European leaders on that issue, and Europe tries to keep China and Russia "sort-of" in the boat. When it gets critical, the most likely scenario is that Russia and China will oppose military intervention, and that Europe and the US (= NATO) start to do something about Iran. Congress cannot ignore that. So, let´s hope that NATO stay united on that issue - there´s hope, the situation is different than Iraq.

But you prove my point. A Republican voter who refuses to vote Republican in a particular election (out of spite or whatever) is making it that much easier for the Democrat to win. This is simple common sense.

Yellowstone is starting to trickle in on the CNN numbers - with 14% reporting, Burns is up 49-48.

Not good.

There are just issues where the strongly conservative House was on the wrong side. No minimum wage law increase and immigration were just two.
