Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
I mean .08% vote.. incredible!!!
Shep really pisses me off these days.... he and Eric Shawn are showing their liberal colors too much these days.
The good news, for what it's worth, is that I expect Bush's popularity ratings to steadily increase until the end of his term. With the Democratic leadership as a contrast, people can't help but to start looking sympathetically at him. Plus, people will begin realizing what a terrific presidency he really had with economic growth and a strong fight in the war on terror.
I'm going to pray for the people of Iraq as well. They are screwed and the door is open for Iran to have a field day there.
THank you, DR. I kept that and passed it on.
Well said...thanks for the reminder.
If MO is GOP, then it's 50/50. I don't buy it though
Good luck. US has worldwide taxation. The IRS still gets you, unlike nearly every other country on this planet.
Kucinich....and he just kept his seat in his district tonight. sickening.
Does everybody agree that this is the case? Including military votes?
They just retreived a few million ballots from a bath house in downtown Richmond.
okay, he just pulled back and said that they haven't officially called it but that it appears Talent will win. I know, big difference. Here's hoping.....
I voted. Bush, however, has been a hard pill to swallow for everything but tax policy and war policy. The Republicans never excercised majority power in congress and left too many opportunities on the table. Poor leadership in both chambers-- weak, too weak.
It was a nice run, but there will be a few years in the wilderness. We do need a strong principled presidential candidate.
I for one am looking forward to watching the Dem's try to run the legislative body. Sadly, Bush will kiss their A's and go along, though.
amen
I know how you feel. My husband and I don't even have liberal friends anymore. I think most of them are conservative or moderate, now that I think of it. I used to have some friends who I know were (are probably still) big libs, but as the years have gone one - and I've become more conservative - I just find that I no longer have anything in common with them.
We have a couple of good friends that we see all the time. They are non-FReepers, but the woman usually votes Republican... her husband has been kind of quiet whenever we all get to talking about politics. I think he's somewhat of a lib at times. We tell them about FR, Rush, Hannity, Fox News, etc. Everytime we go over to their house, though, CNN is on the television. I just don't get it...
I heard Fox radio just called MO for Talent. Anyone confirm?
But they don't have to "de-fund" anything". The war has been paid for in large part by supplemental appropriations. All they have to do is not pass the supplemental. (Although the President could use other Operations and Maintenance funds, but at the cost of making Jimmy Carter's hollow military look rock solid). Guess who will be the Chair of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee?
Murtha.
Allen on MSNBC. Shep got to me, too.
Well, now that you asked.....LOL Oh, ignore me. I'm very angry, which is pretty rare for me. I can't believe that there are that many people who would vote for the Dems when everyone knows what is at stake here. Well, obviously some folks DON'T know what is at stake. Anyhow, I'm rantin'.....have a nice evening. :)
