Somthing stinks, Allen led all nite and suddenly Webb jumps ahead by 3k after almost all votes in...
Isn't it funny how a Rat leads early in the evening and walks off into the sunset and a Repub leads early but can never hand on .... ???? Do you remember it ever going the other way???

Thanks for the updates, I don't post often but I lurk a ton, and tonight I have seen a LOT of DUer's posting on this forum. They get a pass here but if we did vice versa we'd get slammed.

these iraqis had better splash some cold water in their faces tommorrow and wake up. they have an extremely limited amount of time to get their act together now, if its even possible. Ask the Hungarians about how dependable Americans are in times of crisis or the Czechs or how many other groups they left hanging with their peckers in their hands. In a way though, I can think of many cliches and metaphors about how the Iraqis better shape up. The training wheels are off, no more snooze alarm, sink or swim. You get the picture. Reality has hit, Prez Bush has 3 months to kick ass and eat cake in Iraq, let's just hope he's all out of cake.

In TN, Corker is up about 49,000 with 94% in. I think he's got it.

They've won the House and may win the Senate. They kicked our asses. What should they do - fold their arms and cry? They won - big time. We lost, big time. No need to whitewash or spin it. The sun will still rise tomorrow. We had a good run and got some things done and failed in others. The American public is polarized on both ends and squishy in the middle. Which way that squishy middle goes every 2, 4, and 6 years makes all the difference. This time they tired of hearing of war, corruption and perversion. Fair or not, this is what they heard and they punished those they held responsible.
Best post on this thread tonight. All of the money I've given looks to be lost. Been following here, HH for audio, and Tradesports. House is gone. Senate up for grabs. I want the guard doubled on VP and POTUS, considering 2nd in line to POTUS = Skeletor, and third = Sheets. Waited two hours to vote, and am proudly looking forward to making the 2008 battle plan. We will rebound because we are PRINCIPLED !
I'm on my fifth Heineken (with thoughts of Looter-Man), and am going to call it a night. Thank you to everyone for the excellent commentary and updates. This is the best spot on the Internet for true conservative discussion.

According to the VA website, Allen is still ahead by 1900 votes with 99.18% counted. They are separated by .08%.

That is the good news. The Democrats were going on how they were about change, but now they are going to be doinginvestigative and judicial work for the next two years, change ain't happening. Watch tomorrw's stock market.

And then what .. they can do alot of damage in 2 years Perspective. We all need to keep perspective. While the Rats' power won't be unlimited, the same cannot be said about their megaphone. And, that's dangerous for any lib.
A war is not lost in one battle. I truly believe our enemies on the left are now primed for total and generational defeat.

Quit watching CNN.. erase it and MSNBC. They have been a 24/7 free advertising vehicle for the DNC and if we watch then we are helping with our own demise.

how about we wait until there's evidence that a significant portion of the base stayed how before we start fileting them? Perhaps - but how many times have you seen posts on various threads by one issue members that they were going to stay at home or vote another party to teach the RNC 'a lesson'? How many times have you seen posts about not voting because a candidate wasn't 'conservative enough'?
Besides I like fillets...especially fish.

"It's not purely a financial thing though. There's something about Bush that really rubs old people in PA the wrong way, in a major, major way, " I'm always deeply mystified by the Bush hate. He's one of the few Republicans that spoke out against the Clinton impeachment and to me is the most self-effacing, reaching-out-to-the other-side personality that we've had in the White House in my lifetime (and I'm old). I just don't get it. He invites Kennedy to the White House on day one and Teddy can't wait to call him the devil.. Wierd people.

I think you miss the point of the effort. It isn't democracy we wish to "impose". Its the sense that THIS life is worth living and there is no need for these little boys to be taught to blow US up to achieve heaven. Personally,I don't give a damn about any of them but I can see the value of this line of reasoning.
