Arkansas is a blue state regardless of what the MSM says. Beebe is an old Dem name and well liked.
The state got tired of the Hutchinson brothers - they started acting arrogant.

if I was a Dem strategist I wouldn't be dancing in the streets tonight.
They've won the House and may win the Senate. They kicked our asses. What should they do - fold their arms and cry? They won - big time. We lost, big time. No need to whitewash or spin it. The sun will still rise tomorrow. We had a good run and got some things done and failed in others. The American public is polarized on both ends and squishy in the middle. Which way that squishy middle goes every 2, 4, and 6 years makes all the difference. This time they tired of hearing of war, corruption and perversion. Fair or not, this is what they heard and they punished those they held responsible.

They (the Dimms) are already far left and they don't give a hoot what you or I have to say Remember, many, many Americans don't know how far left the Dimms are. And, they are certainly going to care once the Rats show their cards. (And they HAVE to...they've been holding them for 12 years)

"Gang of Fourteen.
Amnesty in the Senate and almost in the House.
High Spending.
McCain's constant attempts to sabotage the WOT by restricting what we can do.
CFR.
No ANWR.
Do I really need to continue? They damn well were catered to, and the net result is that they jumped ship. Meanwhile the Dems ran as conservatives to some success. Quite telling. It tells me my opinion that people like McCain are poisen to the GOP is correct."
And none of these are moderate turning points. They are conservative turning points. You just don't get it.

Yes, the Clintons and their minions ought to be well pleased. They've taken down Weldon and Santorum, and that's just in PA. I have to admit, I didn't see that coming until recently. Has the DNC platform really devolved to just a game of smear the opponent?

He had JD on before. Pretty much admitted defeat is the way he came across.

My calculation: 20,682 votes to go. Allen needs 45.8% or 9462 votes for a tie. He improved his percentage to win frm 47% to 45.8% - that's good.
Go George

Balderdash, horsefeathers, and codswallop!
It took us 60 years to get both Houses; the Dems aren't going to relinquish it so easily.

re: Fox just quoted Snow as saying the congress can now enact "meaningful immigration reform." )))
Really? Well, maybe Bush and Rove got what they wanted, after all. Maybe that's what Rove meant by "holding two houses"-- The means to hand America over to Mexico. I don't understand why Bush is so passionate about this--I guess I'll understand...shortly.

The key losses in the House are PA -3 with 2 more in play, NH -2 looking likely, IN -2, CT OH and FL each -1 with 2 more in play. Other Dem pickups are NY -1 with another in play, KT -1, KS -1, AZ MN CO all 1 in play. Rest of the west still too early but maybe half a dozen overall. Republicans have good shots at 2 Dem incumbents in GA (GA8 and GA12), and 3 open seats MI7, MN6, and IL6. To hold we need around 2/3rds of the in plays to break our way late and to pick up all the shots. I don't see it, I think we lose control but by a tiny margin.

(We have two political parties: the American Party and the Anti-American Party.)
To: RobFromGa
So we do have a silver lining!! In the meantime, I favor a good housecleaning where the GOP leadership literally cleans HOUSE and SENATE. Members need to be evaluated as to their political and personal assets and liabilities. And the same for all GOP candidates in 2008. The House also needs to redo their rules and eliminate that suicidal pact to have their leader step aside when under indictment. And any other one sided arrangement that puts the Republicans at a disadvantage. What did those members think would happen when they invited the RATS to take advantage of them? I have appreciated your posts and I am not disheartened however this election turns out. On the plus side, we now know what we are dealing with, and that is a positive. There is no doubt as to who are our political allies and who are opportunists within the party.
