That's not true. He actually backed a Republican-Turned-Independent who ran because he was disgusted by North.
I personally don't have a problem with North in the sense that I recognize he was in a very difficult situation, and he did what he felt he had to do. But the guy did lie to Congress, and I can certainly understand Conservatives of goodwill not wanting to support him.
Knob Creek is one of my favorite bourbons.
Careful, though - it will hurt.
Part of Arlington and Alexandria, VA. It's District 8.
It's solid blue.
Collins looks like a R pickup in Georgia, so does Burns, but it's too early to know for sure.
Kaine won Henrico last time, that's one area I take as a bellwether.
Allen is up by 5 points with 70% of the vote in.
That looks good.
I've been arguing this with the Allen nuts here since the Spring.
An obvious, transparently fake Southerner, a buffoon, and now, as we know, somebody who when he gets away from his handlers is an incompetent candidate, as well.
The IDEA of him being the solution to the 2008 problem has always been absurd.

This worries me. Greatly. That's a guaranteed 30,000+ votes for Webb right there, I don't know how many for Allen.

"Henrico's running 52% for Allen! Woohoo!"
But this just shows how bad Allen's effort has been. He should be carrying Henrico by 62 percent.
Yep, my lousy Fairfax County precinct went 65% on Webb (and 64% on Moron).
J H Webb Jr Democratic 522,451 48.14%
48.83% in
If Allen actually wins here in Henrico I'll be a little surprised. I know this end of things (I live off Gaskins Road in the West End) is pretty conservative, but we've got an increasing immigrant population out here. And, the Northside and East End precincts have got to be Webb country.
I'll be happy, mind. But I'll be surprised.

If you can find it, try Blanton's. Perfection in a bottle...
Allen had to fight the WaPo and the national media too. Granted 'macaca' was a big mistake, but what the heck does it really mean and just who did he offend????? Then we had recriminations that he dropped the 'N' word thirty years ago, nutters crashing his campaign event to yell 'why did you spit on your wife?' and so on. All things considered I think he did a good job. If the yahoos here in NoVa are enough to put the Webb-nut in then so be it!
With 30% counted, Fox has Boucher up 68-32.
Knob Creek is a small-batch straight burbon. Excellent "nose" - definitely on par with Maker's Mark, IMHO. Worth a try...
Go Allen go!
Doggone it! WSLS is now updated. Peepers has surged ahead.
Bill Carrico (R) [R] 34%
Rick Boucher (D) [D] 66%
He's not that abhorrent a Dem, but I will never forget nor forgive him for not even reading the evidence against the 'Toon, during impeachment. He also made some snarky speech as I recall.
Why don't you sign off and have a big cup of STFU!
Agree. i don't drink Bourbon but I keep an airplane bottle of Knob Creek for medicinal purposes
