Hugh Hewitt is reporting that the exit polls are in shambles and not worth much concern.

I am not concerned with exit polls, or regular polls either. It all comes down to turnout. And I am still very optimistic that we are going to hold on. Since there was no last-minute surprise, I feel even better than yesterday about my predictions.

I hope Hugh is right. It sounds too much like 2004 again. Polls showing bad news while GOP sources around the country report they are meeting or exceeding their turnout goals, and getting out slightly more voters than the Dems. So I am nervous but still hopeful.

I remember the gut wrenching feeling I got back in 2000 when Tom Brokejaw called FLorida for Al Gore and then a little later he had to come back on and say it was a bit premature! Man, was I ever mad because I had gotten so depressed during a workout at the fitness center, that I stopped and went shopping (the only short term cure for depression).
