IN MARYLAND. On my way to vote today, there are at least 4 Large Ehrlich (Republican Govenor to be re-elected)and 2 large Steele (Republican Senator) signs that are missing, along with many small republican signs that were there yesterday. This really stinks. Not much can be done other than get out the word. Has anyone else noticed this?
every election it seems...Rats can't keep their paws off of private property.
It was the same here in Ohio. At least where I live.
Every Republican sign was gone. Actually the GOP signs were gone about 4 days after they were placed.
Democrats are shameless.
it happens so frequently they're often caught in the act (recall video taping of DemoncRATs in 2004)
Removing signs from private property is theft.
Dude. I lived in WPB during 2000. They ripped down our signs everyday. It is just the way they are....
Are you kidding ? The "tolerant" party has entire squadrons of goons who destroy signs and property every election.
let them rip down the signs we win elections.
Better than what they did to the Frank Wolf signs by me in NoVa - attached handmade signs that said "supports torture" beneath his name.
As soon as the George Allen signs went up 4 weeks ago along the road they were spray painted black and torn up.
Democrats can't win if they're out stealing signs instead of voting.
I'm in VA, but listen to Delawre radio online........more than 400 Republican signs at polling places were stolen in northern DE between 3 and 6 am today.
Paint your signs with tanglefoot.
Similar things happened in my MD county during the last election. Dems want power, not democracy.
I've seen Republican signs go down around here too.
My thinking on it is if the sign stays up about a week, it does what it was meant to do, increase name recognition among the voters in its path.
After about a week the sign becomes a part of the normal environment of the people who customarily pass it and hence virtually invisible.
If vandals hit it after about a week not much is lost.
I had my Ehrlich sign taken out of my yard twice. I then put a sign up on one of my trees that read:
"If there is no Ehrlich sign in the ground under this tree it means that another O'Malley supporter has stolen it"
