I hope Steele wins it but "20 percent of the black vote" is not what I would call "big-time".

"I hope Steele wins it but "20 percent of the black vote" is not what I would call "big-time"."

In this state it IS bigtime for a Republican, ANY republican to get 20% of the black vote.

But wait a minute --- don't the black voters know that Republicans run Congress like a plantation?

so then they shouldn't vote for any Republican because a black Republican can't represent them, right?

Does Michale Steele live on a plantation?

LOL. Spoken like a true out of stater. In Maryland (my home), a Republican getting 20% of the black vote is flipping landslide.

I think the point was that his rock-bottom support is 20%. The story is saying that he will be surging upwards from there...

"20 percent of the black vote" is not what I would call "big-time".

Nor is it enough to carry a victory either.

20% is what the polls they were refering to were saying, and it seems to indicate he'll get much more then that.

I think it was Survey USA had him getting closer to 33%.
