Lowry I think is doing a 'worst case' scenario, best case may be GOP losing 12/13.

I'm pretty loopy to begin with, but it appears to me that many so-called conservatives are very quick to melt in the media spotlight. They want so badly to be loved and liked by the left. Why? Why can't they be like Steele and go tell the liberal establishment to go eat it.

If there is a suprise House retention, it will be due to turnout.

It is all about turnout and has always been!

What the polls have assumed is the GOP is not going to turn out, hence the losses.

If we turnout as we did in 2004, we are going to win-it is that simple.

None of this has to do with the Democrats increasing their popularity, but with the GOP base suppose to be disenchanted with the GOP.

The entire thrust of the Media and DNC is suppress the GOP grassroot vote, which amazed them in 2004.

What these idiots forget, but we haven't, is that we are in a war and our troops are depending on us.

The GOP voter will vote because we want to win that war.

Curious how relentless certain supposedly "Conservative: Freepers have been in trying to talk down the Republican Get Out the Vote efforts by hyping Junk Polling data as reality. Curious what the motivation is to posting this sort of suppress the GOP turnout propaganda?

Curious how some idiots insist on projecting their paranoia.

from what I hear neither is Foley's

So his replacement may hold the seat in spite of all the non-stop Foley coverage. Another good sign.

From what I have read in FR, the replacement is a solid Conservative and is ahead in the polls.

A vote for Foley is really a vote for the Republican candidate.

As for CD22, I expect Lampson to be in court, trying to steal this seat, after he loses to the write-candidate-Shelley Sekula-Gibbs.

I think we hold then both. How many times have we seen the networks surprised by the actual vote tally. They will be surprised again tonight.

I can't wait to see what happens when the Republicans win today and tomorrow, Rove goes into Bush's office and requests permission to exact his pound of flesh on the RATS.

Let me guess. Any democrat who is ahead by one point average in the media polls was declared a winner.

I was watching CNN last night (don't worry, I also watched FOX News, I love my dual tuner TiVo) and they did a quick summary of the tight Senate races with their "brand-new-just-off-the-press" Election Eve polls. There were three races that they had the Republicans up by 3 points, they called them "statistical dead-heats" or "ties". Then came a Democrat up by 4 points (still within the margin of error) and said that the Dem was winning.

Their predictions are based on months and years of flawed media polls.

Bingo!

Since when did democrats hold leads in all of those races?

Since the MSM said so, damn it! ;-)

I was ecstatic in 94 when I was telling people the pubs would win and all of my democratic friends/family thought i was nuts.

If the repubs can pull this long shot off and retain the house and senate, it will be like 94 all over again, but with spineless repubs instead of the ones with backbones back in 94!

and it won't work.

Agreed. Wife and I just returned from the polls. Both straight R.

It's not only the Dem leadership is dangerous for the nation, they are insane.
