Central Missouri

Option of a paper ballot run through an optical scanner or one electronic voting machine that looked like it was taking more time than processing the paper ballot.

I opted for a paper ballot. I arrived 7 minutes after the polls opened and when my ballot was scanned, I was the 97th voter.

I was stopped on the way to my car by a local reporter. She asked "What brought you out to vote today?"

#1 Keeping the Republicans in charge to prosecute effectively the war on terror.

#2 Voting no for every state constitutional amendment.

#3 Voting no for Amendment 2 (stem cell initiative) Companies should not be allowed to buy an amendment to the Missouri Constitution for $30 million dollars. It was deliberately deceptive and a poorly written amendment.
I'm for stem cell research, but this amendment is over the top.

I just returned from voting thinking I would be in and out at 9:45. I was number 401, The polling lady said that was unusually high. Generally the 400's hit in the after noon.

This is a high republican area in Crestwood Mo. and when I left there was still line of 40 to 50 people.

Turnout is what we need,

Weather was a bit cold and damp.
