Important people have been calling ME!

So far, the major callers have been The Governator and Mr. Clint Eastwood! I feel so special!

I think living in Texas is another reason I don't get calls. My state will vote GOP and my district for whatever reason will go for the Rat so no one really wastes the time and money calling a lot of Texas.

The most important call I recieved was from my son...He is running for our local water board and wanted me there for the debate tonight!

No debate, I was there!

Rudy is on hold so I can field a call from Laura while GWB is on the front doorstep, knocking on the door and shouting, "Vote Republican".

Fortunately, I got John McCain on call-blocking...but Jon Kyle got thru a few minutes ago to ask for my vote - which I cast last week anyways. And that is just today!

Other than that? No one in particular.

I got a call from Ashley Wilkes, aks Wesley Clark. The good news, however, was we talked to Senator Cornyn and Congresssman John Carter and several other elected officials at a Chamber of Commerce mixer this evening. Senator Cornyn was confident about the Senate and both said the tide was turning in our direction.

I got a live person this evening. He spoke to me in Spanish saying that he represented the Democratic Party of Texas and he wanted to encourage me to vote tomorrow. I speak fluent Spanish but I told him that I prefer to speak English on my own telephone. This Democrat activist then told me that he did not speak English himself and quickly hung up. He had a Central American accent, possibly Honduran or Salvadoran. (My last name is of Spanish-Jewish origin and will sometimes come up on automatic searches for "Hispanic surnames.")
