Under those facts, I would not have put myself in such a defacto endorsement position.
The only sympathy one should have for Chelsea is that she had such cretins as parents. She's an educated grown woman, however, and making her own choices now.

I think all he's saying is that Chelsea wasn't dumb (or tacky) enough to run up against her own high-powered political parents at the height of the scandal. Unlike, say, a moronic Ron Reagan.

Your father is a wonderful man who deserves the gratitude of EVERY freedom-loving individual in the world. I would NEVER equate a numpty like Bill Clinton with your Dad.
But, kids defend their parents.
I have a friend whose father raped her from the age of 4 to the age of 15. And she will still defend the bastard even now.
