Kerry acts like a Philly cheesesteak sandwich is foreign food. When he and his wife Teresa were in a fast food joint, they were puzzled by the the place... I gather they don't socialize much with red blood hicks.

"Mark Steyn predicts the GOP will retain control of Congress"

The man has brass balls. Do you remember back when things looked darkest for Bush in 2004, Steyn said that Bush would win and that if Steyn was wrong, that Steyn would quit being a political journalist? That is really putting your money where your mouth is.

The Democrats stopped understanding the country when they decided America was evil and its enemies were were the beacons of progressive goodness.

has anyone ever gathered all the strange events relating to Nuance-Boy?

I heard one kinda like the Wendy's thing where they stopped for a photo op at a Wendy's bought something and threw it away once they were back on the bus - in favor of some other more "delicate" dish that I don't remember....

someone should start a thread, there's a million of them.

like the one on the ski trip...

how many times has he belowed "don't you know who I am?"

the question should really be, "should I care?"

what a twit.

Yes. Mark never had to relinquish that bet. And he may still be the only one standing after the dust clears on Wednesday morning when the rest of the Drive By/MSM punditocracy had already written off the Republicans as finished for good.

I might vote for a democrat once (only) if Teresa would pull my finger. ;) I bet she'd fall for it..

In their minds, liberals believe they're better than every one else. To them, the problem is every one else is not up to their enlightened view of the world and its their job to set other people straight, whether or not they like it.

Steyn is the best political writer in the history of mankind.

Perfect seems too restrained a description.

It's worse than that: in 1992, when Papa Bush ran against Clinton, no less than Garry Trudeau questioned the veracity of the flying record of H.W., suggesting that rather than being a hero pilot who survived an attack that killed two crewmen, he was a substandard pilot.

Trudeau used to be funny, in the 70's. When Reagan was elected, he stopped being funny and turned into a true hack, and has gotten worse over the years. If you think Ketchup Boy is humorless, get a load of 'Doonsbury' these days... ;^)

Here's my recent post about what REALLY happened when the Kerry's went to Wendy's:

---------------------------

The Kerrys went to Wendy's to "hang out", but an enterprising reporter discovered something else. This from CNN:

August 25, 2004

John and Teresa nibbled on chili and a shake during their photo-op stop at Ohio-based Wendy's last week and then returned to the campaign bus for their real lunch -- a $200 spread catered by a local yacht club, of shrimp vindaloo, grilled diver sea scallops, prosciutto-wrapped stuffed chicken and steak salad.

"Luckily for Kerry, there are a number of five-star restaurants in Washington that can prepare gourmet box lunches in case he's forced to make another faux fast-food stop at Wendy's," quips Bush-Cheney spokesman Steve Schmidt, referring to Kerry's time in Washington this morning.

As Schmidt also notes, Kerry overnights tonight in Kansas City, Missouri, a city known for great barbecue.

When Kerry was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, earlier this week, he reportedly told voters he'd be "in trouble" if he didn't "find some baby backs over there at Speed Queen Bar-B-Q and a double-dip vanilla at Leon's."

"Kerry didn't show up at the Speed Queen or Leon's, but he had no trouble eating a filet mignon and asparagus at a lakefront restaurant instead," Schmidt notes. "It will be interesting to see whether Kerry's cuisine matches his rhetoric in Kansas City tomorrow."

That may have been my FAVORITE DAY of the 2004 campaign. It just doesn't get much better than "shrimp vindaloo"!

Here's the pitiful photo-op Kerry got at Wendy's.

"Hold still while I wipe this shrimp vindaloo off my finger.".

That's what I meant. Kerry and his wife don't know how to relate to average Americans because they can't live like them.

As it stands, the French Poodle is the Hamlet of 21st Century American politics.

I still think Algore is the Moonbat of 21st Century American politics, and he will run in '08. Ketchup Boy bails after New Hampshire, which sets up the Battle Royale everybody wants to see, Algore vs. the wicked witch of the West Wing.

Kerry's good for the laughs. His mannerisms and slow windedness of delivery lend themselves to people being slow to grasp what he says. And that's helped by his perception he's smarter than the common herd.
