Unless in the UK the reading of the verdict is called a hearing. I think it is. It's a Parliamentary government, so that would make sense.
They wouldn't lock Baghdad down like this for just a hearing. They usually just close off the area around the courthouse on trial days. The whole city is shut down today. Until further notice.
