There has been an interesting C-SPAN conference with a guy from Vanderbilt who helped put together the new laws and is now out hawking a book. He said one of the best things that's going on now, with Saddam's trial, is that, for the first time, Iraqi people are seeing how a real justice system works, and that the benefits from that, over the long term, are immeasurable.
As a student of Islamic law (information only), in the modern perspective, Im sorry I missed the C-SPAN broadcast. Do you happen to remember either the author or the name of the book?
