The trash who do this stuff respect only one thing. Raw power.
I jumped in to stop a fight at a H.S. B-Ball jamboree the other night and folks scattered quickly. Of course my partner and I were lighting up the crowd with our Taser laser sights.
One tried to come back in and I escorted him out of the front door.
Then, of course, a "lady" walks up accuses us of "standing there while my boy gets beat up."
I guess she didn't see me run the length of the B-ball court, slam a metal door open so hard, (took 3 tries) that several people on the other side went flying, and jump into the brawl with my partner. 2 vs 25-40 isn't good odds.
He kid gets involved in a brawl, she wasn't even there to see it, and of course she accuses us of standing by and watching the whole thing.
The folks who live in the neighborhoods where this sort of animalistic, assaultive, pack mentality is most common cry a river whenever stuff goes bad. But they still call 911 when things go sideways because they know how truly horrific their lives would be if the police stopped answering calls in their hood.
Sadly this incident in Long Beach is not uncommon and I don't think it's going to be getting better.
I just heard about this attack yesterday on the John Zigler show on KFI and decided to look it up on the internet. This attack was a few blocks east of where I've lived for the past 10 years and was near another well known haunted house put on by residents on the 4100 block of Country Club Drive in Virginia Country Club area, nine blocks west of Linden. This area is NICE, full of very large historic homes and mixed afluent families. I was at that haunted house that night where a large crowd was waiting in line to go into the haunted house and witnessed several small groups of black youths, male and female, make a couple of inappropriate, sarcastic remarks and gestures specifically to white residents and passers-by. There was also a passenger car cruising up and down Country Club Drive with about 25 black youths riding in and on the car as it drove around. This was the first time in the last ten years that I can recall large groups of younger black kids staying together and acting boisterous in this area. There didn't seem to be anything particularly menacing about this situation at the time, just some school kids acting stupid who happened to be black. Nothing like this incident happened there as far as I know since the response from people at the time to the kids was basically "Shut Up!" and "who the hell are you and why are you here?" which caused the groups to eventually leave the area. This incident is disturbing but won't deter me from being here since I don't have a problem handling my business and I encourage anyone in this area to be more proactive if this kind of scenario starts developing again and get involved. LB is mixed and that's why I like it and I have no use for haters, black or white! I'm not going anywhere and won't put up with anybody attacking anybody in MY neighborhood!
