If one is going to the bathroom "three or four times" in one night it would be prudent to visit an endocrinologist to eliminate diabetes as a cause. Better to check those things out early to avoid complications down the road!

Yeah, I have but I drink a lot of coffee also. I'm quite hip to the problem you mention and a friend of mine died from bladder cancer: same symptoms as diabetes and he had slightly elevated glucose. They treated the heck of his diabetes for about three months without eliminating the frequent urination. After he finally went to a specialist it was too late. They found out that his bladder volume had been significantly reduced by the cancer. He lasted a couple of months after that.
