Wellstone lost to Norm Coleman. It is indeed Missouri who elected the late Mel Carnahan to the US Senate in 2000.

Well, dead people might vote in Missouri, but in Minnesota they elect dead guys to the US Senate!Well, we do that here too. Mel Carnahan won, after he died in a plane crash, beating John Ashcroft. It was a lucky break for the country. John Ashcroft was appointed AG by President Bush!
