I don't know. The Times reporter who actually alerted the Muslim Charity was Phillip Shenon who was working on the story with Miller. Miller got the the tip from some source in federal government that the charity assets were being frozen and Shenon called them to ask them for comment. That is what alerted the Muslims and may have allowed them to destroy evidence before the federal raid. The prosecutor on that case, I think, was Fitzgerald, who, as you say had a right to hold a grudge against her later in the Plame case. The Times lawyers told her not to cooperate and not to testify before the grand jury. Miller was doing a story on links between the charity--World Relief or something--and terrorists.

I never knew who had made the actual call to the charity, I just remembered that it seemed as though Fitzgerald had singled out Miller because of her obvious connections to all parties involved in the Plame case and seemed to be on a fishing expedition with Miller.
