Yes....he's had an interesting life.  I respect him a lot...and he's my adopted father, having met my mother after I was born so it's not a respect based on genes. He actually earned it.

He has only a couple character flaws that I can think of.  As opposed to me:  I'm rife with them.

Your dad sounds even cooler to me. And counting flaws can be interesting. I'm still working on mine. That's how you know that you are still growing.
