Tony: An Apology is "I'm sorry"...when it offends people, you say I'm wrong. Instead there's always this proviso...he still hasn't apologized to the troops.
David: DOes President believe Kerry intended to criticize the troops...Tony: I don't know. It's hard to construe the words as a joke. Look, this is simple There was an insult delivered to troops. You clean the slate by saying "I'm sorry"...
David sticking up for Kerry. Tony: What Kerry needs to say to Am Legion; AmVets; it's not hard, to say "I'm sorry"...

Tony is answering Gregory's question beautifully.
Gregory says does the president think Kerry meant to malign the troops.
Tony says it doesn't matter what the president thinks. It's the troops who feel maligned.

These reporters are going to make the same kind of fools over themselves that they did with the VP and waterboarding.

Do the Dems really believe the President lied to go into Iraq? Did it for oil? Can manipulate gas prices? Planned Iraq in Texas?
Gregory is a Dem who is shaking in his boots.
To: Bahbah
These jokers are swimming upstream with this line of questions.....it's just too simple for them. They are stuck on stupid.

Some reporter is pretending that it's completely obvious that Kerry meant to malign the president, not the troops.
It's just stunning. We've all seen the video.
Good - now Tony is reading the transcript.

Tony says that Kerry said "Let's talk about Education"....
That was a transition, usually after a set of opening jokes, you don't do a serious transition and fire off another rib tickler!

Funny, the press knows what Kerry meant but didn't seem to grasp what Cheney meant. Can you say "bias"?

Tony: Does it look like Kerry was trying to tell a joke? Repeats Kerry quotes...Those are the words, we're not trying to figure intention. Apparently troops believe this. How hard is this? You say something you didn't intend to say. We're throwing you a lifeline. Just say you're sorry, it's not hard (laughter in the press corpse)....

Bret Bair is reading Kerry's prepared statement today that he won't go on the campaign trail and blames the "Republican hate machine".
This from the man who said he was going to stand and fight the charges and that he was "going to get in their faces" (meaning the GOP).
If he can't face the voters, he certainly can't stand up to the terrorists.
