that is pure BS and everyone knows it...but it is decent CYA work in 18 hours, not Clintonesque but still pretty good...
Decent CYA work would have been first apologizing to those who took his statements the wrong way (instead of insult people who think plain words have meaning them by calling them "CRAZY"), and then going on the attack against the President, calling on him to apologize. Kerry didn't do that.
