There are strange things going on in the great and sovereign Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is, after all, the time for Halloween. Do you think that because it is Halloween and just a week away from Tuesday-November 7th-Election Day that things are just a tad scary? You do! well, is it any wonder!
The United States is in a time of real peril, not the pretend type full of Goblins and such as one would expect on Halloween. No, this is the real deal. Diana Irey is seeking to be elected to the House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States for the 12th Congressional District, Pennsylvania. She, in the opinion of Rolling Thunder, Inc., deserves a chance.
Pennsylvania has a long history of both physical and intellectual independence. Valley Forge is located in Pennsylvania; Ben Franklin left Boston and settled in Philadelphia and Shay's Rebellion was a PA event, early on.Ms. Irey is also in PA. She is seeking public office in the keeping with the best traditions of PA.
Tun Tavern, a PA establishment, was witness to the birth of the United States Marine Corps. The 12th District has the opportunity raise up a favorite daughter in Diana Irey. She is putting herself on the firing line; she has a stated plan and one need only to go to fact sheet or contact rusty@irey.com to read about her plan or learn of her vision. One could also talk to Rusty Howell. Ms. Irey showed a lot of: "Uncommon Sense" when she enlisted Rusty to work on her campaign. Rusty is a Viet Nam Veteran and served, in country, with the United States Army in 68 & 69. How many candidates have had the presence of mind to seek out veterans who have: "Walked the Walk" to join him or her on their mission to be elected to public office. Veterans who can speak: "Veteranese."
Rolling Thunder, Inc. feels that Diana Irey would bring an independent voice to congress that is backed by a lot of "Uncommon Sense!!" many of us know how much trouble the United States is in; many who have: "Walked the Walk” and that is why Rolling Thunder, Inc. is endorsing Diana Irey for the 12th District, House of Representatives in the Congress of the United States. We are doing so for the citizens of PA and the nation. This one is for all the marbles, folks. This win sets the tone for American politics for decades to come...

”COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY”
Saturday, Rovember 4, 2006
Saturday found the Team Irey continuing their RV Tour, beginning at 7:45 AM. Bob, aka Mr. Diana Irey, decided he should drive since he is such a bad passenger he would make everyone on the trip miserable. He did a fine job meandering through the rolling hills during the two hour trip to Johnstown.
Diana arrived at the Oakland Firehall in Johnstown to greet the poll watchers for that precinct. Coffee and donuts were shared by all before embarking on the rest of the tour.
With a couple of "growing boys" on board, an additional stop was required to fill the empty hole that the donuts left. Finding McDonalds closed for restoration, we settled on Sheetz. The guys found their breakfast sandwiches to be quite tasty and filling.
The Irey RV then made the hour drive to the Indiana County Republican Headquarters in Indiana, PA.
Diana greeted the volunteers with a brief stump speech before they headed out to walk their precincts.
It also served to activate Operation Windshield Wash. Volunteers walked the area washing the windshields of parked cars and leaving a flyer saying;
"Now that you can see clearly, Vote for Diana Irey for Congress"
Other volunteers and those traveling with the campaign, including Katie from Project 18, stood on the corners of the main drag waving signs with phrases such as; Send a Mom to Congress - Vote for Diana Irey, Hit the Road Jack! Diana Irey for Congress and a favorite, HONK for Irey for Congress! A car containing four young men promised Katie they would vote for Diana.
We wondered amongst ourselves if they were old enough to vote or were hoping to see Katie again at the polls.
There were many honks, waves and thumbs up for Diana. Of course we had the one, that felt the need to tell us that we were despicable.
Ho hum. There is one in every crowd.
We spent approximately an hour assisting the locals before heading to our next destination.
We arrived at the Fayette County Republican Headquarters in Uniontown two hours later to a nice sized gathering. The 12' x 24' DIANA IREY for CONGRESS banner was dropped down one side of the RV which served as a wonderful backdrop as Diana spoke with her supporters that had volunteered as phone callers and walkers.
There was a pizza party inside which was a perfect opportunity to play "Diana's Fight Song" for all to see and hear. Small groups would crowd around the laptop moving aside to allow others to watch and listen. An adorable 3 year old girl, was really grooving to the tune and would left click to keep "Diana's Fight Song" continuously playing. Diana's song was a big hit!
