Let's go and get the water stub!.. O.K. Say's I.....After voteing there was a Donkey Moderator outside!... Sir! You had a problem voteing? Sure Say's I.....They made me go back home and get more imformation; So I could Vote Twice.....Daughter #2 said Dad take the I voted tag off before we get to the next polls!!....Now it is a real Sport to vote!!!!...Barf Az is the Dumbest in the Nation!!!.... Otherwise how was your funday..............
Sounds suspicious. No trouble voting up here - heavy, steady turnout. And, for a change, poll workers were asking for IDs.
Could be trouble in our Red, rural areas because of flooding/road washouts. Keep praying!
Lord have mercy. It's outrageous in CA too. My dear friend Doodlelady had to ASK for an "I HAVE VOTED" sticker in English. They were passing out the stickers in Spanish!!!!
I sent in my ballot absentee.
Voted this morning in Woodbine TX. Has to show a DL
since I lost my reg card.
Steady movement through the polls. Looks like most
people are just checking off a straight party ticket.
Those looking to vote for Kinky or Grandma have to
wade through the entire ballot and it didn't look
that most people were doing that.
Well, Perry does have nice hair...
From what I've seen around the nation, voter turn-out thus far is heavy. A look at the numbers says that - except for solid blue areas - this should favor the Republicans across the board. Several states and districts are reporting turn-out above 2002 levels and near or above 2004 levels.
Rain storms of any sort near your location should favor the Republicans in terms of voter turn-out by 1-2%.
Washington state is a wash. Literally. A number of those people are in life and death situations at the moment. Voter turn-out models for them just went in the trash can...
Murtha is scheduled to appear on CNN's "Situation Room" at 8:00 tonight! I just saw the announcement on Hideous Jack's website here.
Will he concede the race on live TV?
Should have included you on the ping for the above.
Thanks for the heads up, Red. Don't whether it's good or bad.
Hey,Hillary how are you doing?
I don't know whether it's good or bad news either. Maybe neither. Polls are open for two more hours (it's presently 5:55, EST).
Please dear lord God almighty, give us victory this day over the wicked Murtha
Thy will be done. Amen.
Valley voters out early for number of hot races
Mid-Mon Valley voters eager to play roles in several pivotal state elections as well as the crucial midterm Congressional elections were out early today to cast votes....
Cindy Kotch, judge of elections at the Monessen Hilltop polling location, said voting was steady, adding turnout is a little stronger than in the primary.
"They just keep coming in," Kotch said.
Judy Budd, judge of elections at the Concord precinct - located in the Rostraver Township municipal building - said 121 of nearly 1,800 registered voters cast ballots in the first 90 minutes.
Turnout was similar to the primary when roughly 30 percent of registered voters at that precinct cast ballots, Budd said.
Larry Spahr, director of elections for Washington County, said late Monday he expected turnout at 35 percent to 40 percent. Absentee ballots were about 20 percent greater than for the last gubernatorial election.
Mid-term Congressional elections and the race for the governor's mansion were drawing voters to the polls. Spahr said he expected voting interest to be peaked in Washington County because Commissioner Diana Irey, a Carroll Township Republican, is on the ballot against incumbent U.S. Rep. John Murtha, a Johnstown Democrat.
See post 1,053 above from KTM rider. There is a link to results as they start to come in.
Greetings. Just got off the phone with someone in the campaign. Not much information at this point. Voter turnout in the district appears to have at least matched 2002 levels (when the big draw was the governor's race). Anecdotal reports from poll watchers spoke of a fairly smooth voting process and a lot of excitement out in the field.
Big kudos to you and the other FReepers who worked hard for Irey. Let's hope that it has made a huge difference.
Thanks.
Everyone can follow the results at this link for a CNN site showing Live Returns for the Irey-Murtha Race.
