That place is weird.
Do they want these folks to think and act like they are from another planet?
"Hey, I can restore your hearing!"
"No, thanks, a$$hole! Deaf is better."
"Hey, I can make you blind if you want. That would be even better, I bet."
Believe or not, there are actually hearing people out there who want to become deaf...permanently. In fact, in one deaf forum a hearing guy came on to talk about this. Real psycho guy. He wanted nothing better than to poke some holes into his eardrums with a sharp object. But didn't want to do that...too painful. Instead, just listened to his iPod at a screeching volume hoping it'll speed up the process.
Should've suggested he take Oxycontin in mass dosages.
