Punctuation wasn't developed to torture or punish, but because it increases readability and comprehension. Not using punctuation decreases readability and comprehension and requires greater effort on the part of the reader, so you the writer can make less effort.
That you can't be bothered to standardize your communication says that you care more about your own convenience than that of others, which is epitome of bad manners.
Proper punctuation is really just consideration for others.
people, take it easy. i didn't forget any commas or periods, did i? no misplaced colons or run-on sentences that my bad eyes can see. i try to post in paragraphs instead of mega-blocks. apparently, my posts are still quite readable, are they not. it's just one key that i negate use of when i am writing casually. the SHIFT KEY. i don't remember paying tuition to sign up on F.R. i'm not writing a thesis or research paper for professors, nor am i writing out my resume. bloody, hell, why are some getting their knickers in a bloody twist over this? there are better things to do, are there not. your conclusion that i'm ill-mannered because i skip one function key is a bit much, mate.
besides, i've seen worse grammar & typing etiquette on a couple of posts on FR and i haven't seen many complaining.
