Actually the cross has only been in the chapel since the 1930s, whereas the chapel was completed in 1732. So the cross doesn't have a very long history in the chapel. In fact, I think there were points in the building's history where the space was not used as a chapel.

William and Mary has actually been a public school since 1906. Therefore it has not had a religious affiliation since that year.

Chapel? I'm offended. Shouldn't it be called a fellowship hall?

WTF, just call it Mecca Lyte, and put in a red bulb that points east so all the muzzies know where to look when they put their butts in the air for Mo-hammed.

The chapel is set up with a typically Christian format because it was a part of the Colonial Williamsburg restoration. The design is similar to how the space would have looked in 1732.

Ah, thank you for that additional insight. Also for your comment above in #61 -- it's helpful to know that the cross is a relatively recent addition.

No. For believers in God through faith in Christ, our bodies are the temple as provided by the Holy Spirit for the Father and the Son. By remaining in fellowship with Him, He indwells us, as the Son in the Father.

By the Great Commission we also share that good news to other people and our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Just as we were created in body, soul, and spirit, the physical facility which held the cross at the school had been constructed to assist in the further sanctification of believers by further studies of their faith in Him, allowing God to further sanctify His body of the church.

Those who seek to alter ther purpose of that facility, simply seek to enforce their particular establishment of religion against the body of Christ.

Those who deny the Son do not have the Father in them and those who never believe are already condemned, although the atonement has already been paid and opportunity made available for all men to come to Him through a simple faith in Him.

Isn't it so hypocritical of Wiccans they can believe in spirits but reject the Holy Spirit, especially when He offers so much more eternally and is more powerful, glorious, honorable, forceful, dynamic, rich, and wise than any other single or group of deceiving spirits.

''Didn't the NCAA force them to remove the two feathers from their logo because it's offensive to Indians?""

NCAA dd not Force them, the President caved in to "save" legal defense funds so they could be spent on the children students.
Local Indians have no problems with the 2 feathers.
Florida has a brave on horseback that comes out on touchdowns and throws his lance on the turf.
