I hate to say this but your description of the "bad sound" excuse reminds me of the bit in the Tom Clancy novel, Executive Orders, where the "evil NBC News anchor" (a Tom Brokaw clone) lies to good President Jack Ryan and gets him to repeat the interview because "the tape was damaged." In the second interview they use the knowledge they gained from the first time around, plus some info fed to them by an anonymous source (a Teddy Kennedy like molester of women staffers) to get the President to give them "good sound bites." By their definition a "good sound bite" is one they can use against us.
Unfortunately I'm just back from a four day business trip and I'm afraid I won't be able to stay up for this. I'm partly posting this as a self ping for a bookmark to find out how it gets presented after editing.
A word to the wise: we are going to be under a microscope for the next couple of weeks. Admin moderators, be on your toes and remember, you can't be too paranoid.
May I lend my voice to those giving you kudos. I know that you represented FR well and salute you for taking on the DBM. But watch your back. They really are out to get us, particularly now.

Yeah. I'm getting a little suspicious of the "bad sound" excuse. Anyway, I'll be checking out Nightline in a few minutes.
