My apologies if this has been brought up, this thread is 30+ posts now. I searched for "Susan Combs" in FR and didn't find anything.
In Texas, the GOP candidate for state comptroller, Susan Combs, has been smeared by a democrat pinhead opponent for writing a romance novel 15+ years ago, which the dem calls "pornographic."
Basically, this has caused the dem to be portrayed as a laughingstock - which in fairness, he probably would have been anyway, or just ignored.
I'm concerned that maybe this could backfire on Allen. Webb's stuff is much worse, more perverted, but who knows? The media may paint him as a persecuted artist.
I'm not sure Allen should have doen this. I wonder if he's seen polls or something showing Webb ahead.
