Ping!
Discrediting of our foreign policy? The people who think so.........do not matter.
A good read. A realistic view of America, her present "problems", and her likely future. Thanks for the post!
while the European Union, preaching love and peace, is winning the market in ideas.
AHAHAHAHA! wipes eyes.
I quit reading right there.
Ivan, sweetie, you blasted me for my English skills before, so why didn't you catch "commoner"? Given the context of the premise of this article, this is a HUGH gaffe!
I will busily flip through my copy of Webster's Grammar, Speech, and Style Dictionary of the English Language (cheap paperback version always at the ready!) to find the precise definition of such an offensive lapse, but really...how did this get by the editors of the premiere English language newspaper? I had to ask...I may be a mere commoner, but it is more common for me to make such a transgression, and most uncommon for the Times of London!
BTW, I just loved the content of this article, and best regards to Mrs. Ivan. We look forward to her next posting!
As usual the Leftists simply scream their lies about Iraq and Conservative repeat them as "Fact". No, the Leftist here is wrong on every single aspect of Iraq.
Maybe Conservatives "Media" Establishement should stop trying to get along with these Lewftist liars and start speaking Truth to Whiners on Iraq? Here is the raw data. Can we expect Conservative to finally grow a spine on Iraq?

America will endure.
Democracy will prevail.
Of these things I am sure.
Great article! Thanks for posting it.
Not only will USA carry on (of course), but even in Iraq, we are in the process of prevailing - the fight is between despotism and democratic freedom, and the despotism-lovers are putting up a dickens of a fight - but they arent going to win, unless we let them.
The Iraqi leaders are saying "dont panic" they are saying
""We need to be realist but not defeatist. We need to understand that there is a need of utmost urgency to deal with many of the problems of Iraq but we must not give in to panic."

... and they are right. Patience, perseverence and courage, along with the right strategy and tactics, will help democratic rule and freedom prevail in Iraq.
