Hey, I like Levin, but why should I listen to him when Savage is on the air?

Every human is fallible, I find Savage often insightful and at other times just plain entertaining. I will concede he will, sometimes, diverges from where mine and his views intersect. However he does often do good things such as defending the troops that are indicted on allegations, tells it like it is on Islam, and most certainly supports fiscal conservatism and individual freedom. I also like Mark Levin, they both have good qualities and bad, every time you bash Savage on this thread you give it a bump, would not it be better to snuff it out?

Are those kind of photos easily accessible to you? I don't even want to know where you got it.

I'll never cry about this sophmoric response, but I've done far less than that and got warned by the Admins. The admins warned me about posting keywords on this thread.

If you don't want your account to wind up in the "bit bucket", like butternutbisque, then I advice you to maintain a little civility in your posts.

Is dark depression "insightful" or "entertaining" to you?

I find his comments on these such issues insightful and entertaining. His incessant pessimism is a recurrent theme, however I did not state he is infallible. When he defended the troops and raised money for them, that was not pessimism, he is not always like that.

In other words, don't be like Mike.

Just a matter of choice, but surely you can see why some of us despise Savage. Some of us work so hard to elect Republicans/conservatives and/or keep Dems out, and this guy undercuts us.

Mike bad-mouthed Webb pretty good last night, and had some kind words for Allen.

Did you manage to catch it?

So many people say the same thing, Fishy.

I did, and he was semi-complimentary of Allen, which is fine. He called Webb childish (didn't hear much more), and said Allen is the better candidate.

See, I used to listen to him quite a bit... He's very entertaining, and when he aims his fire towards the libs, nobody does it better... but in such an important election, to keep blasting at Bush, Condy, Rummy, GOPers, etc, it's just beyond reckless...

Air America is just as harsh, but they have 12 listeners. Savage is talking to 8.25 million listeners. His comments could sway elections... THAT's why I despise the guy so much. We have plenty of detractors on the left... He's supposed to be on our side. He should save the schtick till after the election and support our side.

You're missing the point. Savage isn't beholden to either party. If you want GOP talking points, listen to Limbaugh. I know you'd like nothing more than to see this thread taken down and permanently removed, and I'm sure JimRob himself is well aware of this thread by now. And since this thread is allowed to exist, he apparently doesn't have a problem with us Savage listeners.

I don't believe you're giving Savage listeners enough credit. I live in Rock Island County, IL (which is probably 2nd to Cook County in extreme left-wing politics), and since there aren't many moderate politicians in this county (if any), I will be voting Republican on November 7th. Once again, Savage isn't Limbaugh. Savage has supported President Bush on numerous occasions over the past several years, and when he believes the administration and the GOP aren't living up to their responsibilities, he calls them on it. Where is it written that Savage, or any other independent conservative talk show host for that matter (Jerry Doyle comes to mind), should staunchly support the Bush administration and the GOP?
