Savage can be odd sometimes, but if he's "on", he's on.

Today, he's great and he's right. I've agreed with him on this for a while. The politically correct war isn't working. Muqtada should have been offed immediately back in 04. I said it then and I'll say it again.

Although we carried out a brilliant campaign to "conquer Iraq" and capture Saddam, our followup has been abysmal. We lack common sense in connection with using our technology to ensure minimal casualties. That is, we have multiple layers of complex rules of engagement where we punish our own to the delight of the enemy (Pendleton 8 & others); we refuse to use our technology to minimize our own casualities (MOAB, failure to bomb certain buildings being used for weapons storage, and places for the enemy to hide), reconnoiter policies, interrogation policies, etc.

Agreed! This administration actually believed that al-Sadr's "army" would actually stand down, disband and disarm?! LOL! Now he's stronger than ever, with even more "followers," I'm sure. This, and future administrations must learn to destroy the enemy and secure the territory FIRST, then occupy. Not the other way around.
