To: conservative in nyc

It's a start.

You realize, as a fellow New Yorker, 20% of our Federal tax dollars never return to the state. On the other hand, some states rake in the money -- getting 20% or even 40% more from the Fed than they kick into the kitty.

I realize that. And I also realize it is because New Yorkers earn more and thus are taxed at a higher tax rate, even though costs of living downstate at least are much higher than most of the rest of the country. And the same politicians that your and my idiot neighbors from downstate elect always vote against tax cuts for the so-called rich - which are often the people who elected them in the first place.
