So please explain how the court held a gun to the head of the legislature in Mass and said "you will do this". Not the only time this has happpened. Courts have commandered school systems, prisons, taxing authority, ad nauseum.

They didn't have to, Romney went ahead and ordered clerks to issue licenses. He didn't have to, but he did. The law has never changed, homosexual marriage remains illegal in MA. Hence their bill to make it legal. The activists and homosexual legislators have done, and continue to do everything in their power, legal or not, to prevent the petition from going to the legislature, even though more than double the number of names needed, were submitted.

As an added thought, Nov 9th, 2 days after the election, there is supposed to be a convention, where the amendment is on the list to be voted on. If they follow the constitution, and I do mean if, then an amendment will be on the ballot in '08. BUT not the bill MA residents wanted, this one allows for civil unions.

MA has been going through this for years!
