Lawmakers Fault CNN for Sniper Video(Fault? Treasonous!)

A Republican lawmaker has asked the Pentagon to bar CNN reporters from traveling with U.S. military units in Iraq because the network showed insurgent snipers shooting at U.S. troops.
The footage, aired last week on CNN, does not show the death or wounding of any service member. In one instance, the tape shows a service member milling around a public area. A shot is fired, and the tape fades to black.
Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said that airing the video was irresponsible because it could encourage more attacks on U.S. troops.
"Does CNN want America to win this thing?" Hunter asked yesterday on the network. In past wars, he said, the media was more pro-American.
"You can't be on both sides of the war," Hunter said.
CNN issued a statement saying that the decision was "a difficult one, but for a news organization, the right one. Our responsibility is to report the news." The video was delivered to the network through a contact with an insurgent leader.
In a letter released yesterday, Hunter and two other Republican House members from California asked Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld to remove CNN from the military embedding program, in which journalists spend time with combat units in Iraq.
"CNN has now served as the publicist for an enemy propaganda film," wrote Hunter and Reps. Brian Bilbray and Darrell Issa.

Statement of fact:"CNN has now served as the publicist for an enemy propaganda film."The msm will show pro-terrorist films and write pro-terrorist screeds but publicly claim they support our trops. How can anyone still believe the msm are unbiased?

I just sent Sen. Carl Levin the following email:
The following information has been emailed to Senator Levin:
Regarding: agency
Agency: Security of the United States of America
Comments:
I know this is a waste of my time, but, I want to put this request on the record anyway. I demand that you investigate CNN's conspiracy with known terrorist, when those same terrorist murdered a US soldier by sniper fire, and CNN broadcast this murder over there cable news network for ratings, therefore inciting other terrorist to also commit murder of US soldiers, knowing that CNN will obviously support them in their murder. CNN should not be allowed anywhere near my fellow Soldiers who are in harms way, or have any further access to our sensitive Nations secrets, nor should any CNN news reporters be allowed to accompany our soldiers as they continue to prosecute this war on terror! Please take the necessary action against CNN immediately and without any further delay.

Thank you very much, your prayers are welcome. I want my sight back so bad, so that I can return to the fight on terror.
What keeps me going, is knowing that my family, and fellow countrymen will be put in harms way if I fail, and failure is not an option!

There, fixed it.

You just concentrate on getting well.
I don't know if you young folks know it or not, but you are very loved by this country. We know what kind of sacrifice you make for us, and it will never be forgotten or taken for granted.
Please let us know how your surgery goes.

I have had the surgery, now the rest is up to our Dear Lord. The Doctors say that everything went well, and reminded me that our eyes are the fastest healing organ in our bodies. Thank God for spell check, it is hard to see through all these bandages. I am not supposed to be using this computer, but, you can't keep a good soldier down, not to mention, me fellow brothers sneaked me down the hall, and the use of a fellow soldiers laptop.
Thank you so much for your love and support. I have shared your comments with my fellow brothers in arms. I can't begin to tell you how much your comments mean to us.
You will also be on our list of dedicated paratroopers in our next jump!
God bless you and every American who supports us in our battle against terror and the terrorist who vow to destroy our great Nation.

Hi Mo1
I recall earlier in the war how CNN had a fit over reports that the US Military was promoting "Positive" and "Paid for Stories" to be run in the Iraqi Media. Now they have no trouble at all showing propaganda for the enemy. Even in the CNN report showing the killing they said this particular group is looking to influence American's.
I finally took the plunge and deleted CNN from my TV menu. They will not be missed.

Excellent! Good to hear, now you STOP reading that computer screen, it's bad for your eyes.
You are now on my permanent prayer list, please let me know when the bandages come off and how you are progressing.

Thank you! God bless you and yours. I have a group of 5 fellow soldiers here in my room, and we work together keeping everyones spirits up, and they help me type my posts.
When I read posts like these from an American that has never even met me, and is praying for my recovery, simply adds to my desire to win this war against terrorist extremist who, if given the opportunity, would kill you and your family.
We will never allow that to happen! You have the entire 82nd ABN Division standing between you and the terrorist!
Time for me to sleep now, and I am so glad that you are out there, as long with so many other Americans.
Thank you again for your unselfish support and prayers.
